About the position

The Journalism Program at Brandeis University is seeking a part-time instructor for the course JOUR 89A, titled "Contemporary Media: Internship and Analysis," which is a four-credit course scheduled for the Fall 2024 semester. This seminar course is designed for students who have completed a summer internship in journalism, allowing them to bring their real-world experiences into the classroom. The instructor will facilitate group media projects, guide students in analyzing relevant readings, and prepare them for the evolving landscape of the media industry. Classes will be held in person on the Waltham campus on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:40 PM to 7 PM. Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have substantial professional experience in journalism, particularly as a catalyst for innovation within newsrooms. Additionally, experience in teaching at the college level and working closely with college students is highly preferred. Responsibilities
