About the position

The Journalism Program at Brandeis University is seeking an instructor for the course JOUR 89A Contemporary Media: Internship and Analysis, which is a four-credit seminar course scheduled for the Fall 2024 semester. This course is designed for students who have completed a summer internship in journalism, providing them with an opportunity to engage in group media projects, analyze relevant readings, and prepare for the evolving landscape of the media industry. The course will be conducted in person on the Waltham campus, specifically on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:40 PM to 7:00 PM. Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have substantial professional experience in journalism, particularly as a catalyst for innovation within newsrooms. Additionally, experience in teaching at the college level and the ability to work closely with college students are essential qualifications.
