About the position

The Department of Interior Design at Iowa State University is seeking a Lecturer in Interior Design Education and Practice for a one-semester appointment. The role involves teaching in accredited Bachelor and Master programs, contributing to scholarship, and supporting the department's mission. Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the Bachelor and Master of Interior Design programs.
• Establish a record of scholarship at the highest levels.
• Contribute to the teaching missions at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Exhibit good citizenship within department, college, and university activities.
• Interact collegially and maintain high standards of integrity and ethical behavior.

Requirements

• Master's degree in interior design or related fields, OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to enhancing excellence in education.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in universal design, human factors, professional procedures and practice, materials, and specifications.
• Proficiency in drafting and use of digital tools.
• Professional NCIDQ License in the US or abroad.
• LEED Accredited Professional.
