About the position

The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach a graduate course titled "Data Visualization" during the Fall 2024 semester. The course will be conducted synchronously online on Tuesday evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in Data Visualization, particularly using R, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to graduate students in the Master of Public Informatics program.

Responsibilities

• Teach the graduate course "Data Visualization" synchronously online.
• Prepare course materials and deliver lectures effectively.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Engage with students to enhance their understanding of Data Visualization concepts.

Requirements

• Significant expertise in Data Visualization using R.
• Graduate degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Visualization.
