About the position

Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join their Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. This position is exclusively clinic-based, offering the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a rapidly growing program that serves a significant number of oncology and sickle cell patients. The role involves no planned call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for pediatric hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and psychologists.
• Participate in the management of newly diagnosed oncology patients and ongoing care for sickle cell patients.
• Utilize advanced facilities such as the infusion center and outpatient procedure facilities.
• Engage in professional development and continuing medical education (CME) activities.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Experience in managing pediatric oncology and hematology patients.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and BEACON system for pediatric oncology.
• Interest in research and participation in clinical trials.
