About the position
The Mobile Maintenance Advanced Helper (Tech 3 or Higher) position at Nevada Gold Mines involves working within the Underground Maintenance department to support the maintenance of mining equipment. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication with various crews and departments, contributing to the company's mission of sustainable mining practices.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work practices.
- Work effectively as a team member with other crews and departments.
- Replace hydraulic components as needed.
- Identify correct parts using parts books and read service manuals.
- Demonstrate basic SAP skills, including building and closing work orders.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing oil, greasing machines, and installing filters.
- Operate forklifts and underground light vehicles, as well as overhead cranes.
Requirements
- Experience in mobile maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals and parts books.
- Basic knowledge of SAP for work order management.
- Experience operating forklifts and other underground vehicles.
