About the position
The Cook/Chef position at Legacy of St. Michael, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, involves preparing and serving meals for residents in a compassionate and enriching environment. This part-time role is essential in ensuring that dietary needs are met while fostering a positive atmosphere for seniors to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
- Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and floors, dishes, and utensils.
- Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
- Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
- Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, their families, and employees.
- Possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
