About the position

The Legal Administrative Assistant will support attorneys and paralegals in healthcare and public policy litigation cases. This role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures and excellent organizational skills to manage case files, deadlines, and communication with clients and courts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with all aspects of healthcare/public policy and litigation cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, such as petitions, schedules, and orders.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Communicate with clients, creditors, and the courts.
  • Manage case files and deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare/public policy team.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Manage calendars and deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain files.
  • Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a healthcare/public policy Legal Administrative Assistant or in a related role.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
