The Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide high-level legal and administrative support to judges and staff attorneys in our St. Paul office. OAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts in Minnesota, with over 70 full-time equivalents, and has exclusive jurisdiction over a wide range of administrative law and workers' compensation cases. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the court by drafting, proofreading, editing, and finalizing complex legal documents, maintaining accurate data in case management systems, and providing legal support to judges, attorneys, and the public. The work is performed according to legal reference and OAH style manuals, as well as Minnesota Statutes and Rules. The ideal candidate will possess professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational and time management skills, as they will be required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including agency staff, outside attorneys, and the public. As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of legal documents, maintaining case files, and managing communications related to legal matters. This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of four days in the office per pay period, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the justice system in Minnesota.
