Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare correspondence for attorneys and paralegals.
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments for legal staff.

  • Maintain accurate records and files for legal documents.
  • Utilize legal citations and apply them to firm documents as needed.
  • Assist in legal time entry and ensure accurate billing records.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for various tasks.
  • Employ redlining tools for document review and editing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three years of related experience in a legal administrative role.
  • ALS, PLS, or CPS certification or a paralegal certificate may substitute for experience.
  • An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of legal terminology and court filing requirements.
  • Proficiency in using legal citations in firm documents.
  • Working knowledge of legal time entry systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skilled in the use of redlining tools and basic office functions.
