About the position

The Legal Administrator at a dynamic family law firm in downtown Denver will lead and manage non-attorney staff, ensuring they are trained and perform to expectations. This role involves overseeing operations, human resources, and business functions, while working closely with the Managing Attorney and Owner to create strategic plans and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, supervise, coach, and train non-attorney staff.
  • Hire, supervise, and terminate non-attorney employees.
  • Implement and enforce personnel rules and employment policies.
  • Create the Business Plan, Budget, and Strategic Calendar in collaboration with the Owner.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes.
  • Monitor billable hour performance and provide feedback to staff.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure effective operations management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Legal Administrator role or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw software.
  • Experience with billing functions and collection processes.
  • Knowledge of Corporate HR practices and principles.
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee business operations.
  • Proven staff management skills, including conducting staff meetings.
  • Demonstrated skills in administrative and accounting management.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
