About the position

The Legal Administrator will lead and manage the non-attorney staff of a dynamic family law firm in Denver. This role involves overseeing operations, implementing HR policies, managing budgets, and ensuring staff performance aligns with the firm's goals. The Administrator will work closely with the Owner and Managing Attorney to develop strategic plans and manage the firm's business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, supervise, coach, and train non-attorney staff.
  • Hire, supervise, and terminate non-attorney employees.
  • Implement the Owner's decisions regarding employees, human resources, marketing, and technology.
  • Monitor billable hour performance and provide feedback to staff.
  • Manage operations and business functions of the firm.
  • Create the Business Plan, Budget, and Strategic Calendar in collaboration with the Owner.
  • Develop personnel and HR policies in accordance with best practices and regulations.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Manage administrative aspects of attorney hiring and operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Legal Administrator role or similar.
  • Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw software.
  • Experience with billing functions and collection processes.
  • Knowledge of Corporate HR practices and principles.
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee business operations.
  • Proven staff management skills, including conducting staff meetings.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated skills in administrative and accounting management.
  • Proficiency in calendar, document, and expense management.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems.
  • Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration.
  • Proven track record in performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
