About the position

The Legal and Library Services, Operations & Policy Analyst 2 position at the Oregon Department of Corrections is focused on enhancing access to critical resources and services within the correctional system. This role involves planning, evaluating, and improving the delivery of institution-based library services and other initiatives aimed at supporting adults in custody and facilitating their successful transitions into the community. The analyst will provide policy analysis and support to management, ensuring effective statewide delivery of services while maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the delivery of institution-based library services and programs.
• Provide direct policy analysis and support to the Legal and Library Unit Manager and Supervisors.
• Coordinate activities across key administrative areas such as fiscal policy, program design, and operations.
• Review and refine division policies for system-wide implementation.
• Ensure effective statewide delivery of Legal and Library Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or a related field.
• Two years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years.
