About the position

Tabatchouk Law Firm PC is a transactional law firm specializing in residential and commercial real estate closings, located in Parsippany, New Jersey. We are currently seeking a temporary Legal Assistant/Paralegal to assist with a significant amount of overflow work related to real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have mid-level paralegal experience and be capable of managing all aspects of real estate closings from start to finish. This role is essential for ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service during their real estate transactions. The position requires a thorough understanding of New Jersey real estate laws and procedures, as the candidate will be responsible for handling closings independently. The role can be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability. While this is a temporary position, there is potential for it to evolve into a permanent role based on performance and the firm's needs. We are looking for someone who is local to the Parsippany area, ideally within a 30-minute commute to our office, as this position requires in-person attendance. The anticipated compensation for this role will range from $50,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of real estate closings from start to finish.
  • Manage transactional documentation and ensure compliance with New Jersey real estate laws.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction.
  • Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, mortgages, and settlement statements.
  • Coordinate with title companies and lenders to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Maintain organized files and records for all transactions.

Requirements

  • Mid-level paralegal experience, preferably in transactional real estate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling real estate transactions.
  • Strong understanding of New Jersey real estate laws and closing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with both residential and commercial real estate closings.
