About the position

As a Legal Assistant in the Bill Resolution Department at The Advocates, you will play a crucial role in managing medical bills, liens, and treatment information for clients. Your responsibilities will include facilitating communication between insurance companies, healthcare providers, and the organization to ensure effective collaboration and positive relationships. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle high-volume tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate communication with health insurance companies regarding subrogation.
  • Coordinate the submission of medical bills to automobile and health insurance companies.
  • Manage medical treatment status calls and liaise with providers until the demand is dispatched.
  • Schedule appointments for expert reports, IMEs, and case evaluations with attorneys.
  • Uphold the Advocates Credit Protection protocol.
  • Ensure accurate and timely bill resolution by coordinating with insurance companies.
  • Conduct comprehensive scans of cases to ensure proper billing processes are implemented.
  • Provide regular updates on treatment and injury status to adjusters for reserve purposes.
  • Compile indexed documents for expert report providers.
