We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant for our Nevada Employment Department, who will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in employment law, demonstrating a strong understanding of the relevant legal frameworks. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential traits for this role. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a professional presentation both in-person and over the phone, ensuring regular communication with clients, and managing the maintenance of both physical and electronic case files. Additionally, the candidate will manage the attorney's calendar, keeping track of court dates and related deadlines, and will be tasked with drafting correspondences and preparing documents for filing with state and federal courts. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify urgent tasks and prioritize them effectively, contributing to the overall efficiency of our legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional presentation in-person and via phone
  • Regular communication with clients
  • Maintenance of physical and electronic case files for reference and review
  • Manage attorney's calendar with court dates and related deadlines
  • Draft correspondences and prepare documents for filing with state and federal courts.

Requirements

  • Prior employment law experience
  • Working knowledge of Employment and Labor Laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to identify urgent tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Must be bilingual - Spanish
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Relevant experience of at least 2 years.
