About the position

Kinghorn Law is seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal / Administrative Professional to join our friendly and energetic team. Our firm specializes in estate planning, elder law, and financial services, and we are dedicated to empowering families to achieve peace through our work. While prior law office or paralegal experience is helpful, it is not required, as we provide on-the-job training and support to help you grow in your role. In this position, you will work closely under the guidance of an attorney, receiving comprehensive paralegal and administrative training. You will be responsible for leading in-person meetings with clients to execute legal documents, addressing client questions and concerns regarding document execution and estate planning processes, and preparing and reviewing estate planning documents. Additionally, you will communicate with clients and other professionals both in person and over the phone, manage client files, and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate. We are looking for warm and friendly individuals who thrive in a collaborative team environment and can meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. If you are detail-oriented, highly proficient in Microsoft Word, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities

  • Lead in-person meetings with clients to execute legal documents
  • Address client questions and concerns regarding document execution and estate planning processes
  • Prepare and review estate planning documents
  • Communicate with clients and other professionals in person and over the phone
  • Manage client files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate

Requirements

  • College degree or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Professional office experience; financial, banking, or insurance office experience is a plus
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, especially MS Word
  • Ability to work occasional overtime when needed to complete work and assist at public/client events
