About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our new law firm. In this role, you will provide essential support to our attorneys by conducting legal research, assisting with document management, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have legal experience in areas such as Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Closings/Title Work, Estate Planning, Probate, and Bankruptcy. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services and maintaining high standards of client care. As a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and contracts. You will organize and maintain case files and documents using document management systems, ensuring that all information is easily accessible and up-to-date. Additionally, you will interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases, coordinate with external parties such as court personnel and opposing counsel, and assist in drafting correspondence and other written communications. Maintaining confidentiality of client information at all times is paramount in this role. To excel in this position, you should possess proficiency in using document management systems and other legal software, along with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, witnesses, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills are essential, as you will need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while paying close attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review. Professional phone etiquette is also important when communicating with clients or other parties.
