About the position

We have an immediate opening for PRE-LITIGATION CASE MANAGERS to join our fast-paced team. This position plays a critical role in the firm's success, and the right fit to join our team is an energetic, reliable team player who is extremely detail oriented, organized, and has a real passion for personal injury law. The role involves working closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects, ensuring effective communication and follow-up with clients throughout the case and treatment process. As a Pre-Litigation Case Manager, you will be responsible for drafting various legal documents, including Letters of Protection, CPRC Letters, Letters of Representation, Spoliation Letters, and FOIA requests to medical providers and insurance companies. You will also prepare and maintain relevant elements of a case, ensuring that all necessary information, such as the status of claims from insurance companies, police reports, medical liens, and the client's treatment and medical history, is collected and organized. Additionally, you will verify third-party and first-party coverage, prepare requests for medical records in affidavit format, coordinate client treatment with facilities, and follow up with clients regarding their medical treatment and demands. Other case duties may be assigned by the pre-litigation attorney as needed. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of legal language and principles, and the ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Communicate and follow up with clients through the case and treatment process.
  • Draft legal documents including Letters of Protection, CPRC Letters, Letters of Representation, Spoliation Letters, and FOIA to medical providers and insurance companies.
  • Prepare and ensure relevant elements of a case are collected, maintained, and organized including the status of claims from insurance companies, police reports, medical liens, and client's treatment and medical history from medical providers.
  • Ensure and verify 3rd party coverage (Limits/additional coverages/etc).
  • Ensure and verify 1st party coverage (PIP/UM/UIM/etc).
  • Prepare and ensure the request medical records in affidavit format.
  • Coordinate and address with facilities client treatment.
  • Client follow-up regarding medical treatment.
  • Follow up on demand.
  • Other case duties as assigned by the pre-lit attorney.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with navigating websites related to public records.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in plaintiff personal injury or related field preferred.
  • Experience in automobile insurance or related field preferred.
