Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness.
  • Handle communication with clients, field associates, and vendors.
  • Support case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences.
  • Organize materials for team case review.
  • Conduct thorough statistical/documentary research.
  • Locate and develop case relevant information.
  • Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
  • Answer phone calls, take notes/messages, and redirect calls when appropriate.
  • Maintain and update inventories of contact details.
  • Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in PreSuit/Pre-Litigation Personal Injury law as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with legal technology.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of case management software.
  • Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Outstanding time-management and typing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while paying strong attention to detail.
  • Professional adherence to attendance, reliability, and integrity.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, appearance, and compliance with company dress code.
