We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Presuit Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support for the personal injury presuit process, ensuring efficient case management and effective communication with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies. As a Legal Assistant/Secretary at Farah & Farah, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in providing exceptional legal services to our clients. You will assist attorneys and paralegals in various legal tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operation within the legal department. Your responsibilities will include managing personal injury cases during the presuit phase, organizing case files, maintaining documentation, and tracking deadlines. You will also draft, prepare, and review legal documents related to personal injury claims, including demand letters, medical records requests, and settlement proposals. In addition to case management, you will act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status, answering questions, and scheduling meetings or appointments. You will be responsible for obtaining, organizing, and reviewing medical records and bills, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately compiled for case evaluation. Your role will also involve preparing and sending correspondence to clients, medical providers, and insurance companies, including follow-up letters and requests for information. You will coordinate and schedule appointments for clients, such as medical examinations, depositions, and meetings with attorneys, while maintaining and organizing electronic and physical case files to ensure all records are up-to-date and easily accessible. Furthermore, you will conduct preliminary research on case-related issues, such as medical conditions, treatment protocols, and insurance coverage, and provide general administrative support, including managing phone calls, handling mail, and performing other clerical duties as needed.
