As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service. In this position, you will interact regularly with clients, providing assistance and answering their inquiries. You will also be responsible for managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling various legal administrative tasks. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate case notes and managing documents efficiently. We are looking for someone who is proactive, able to multitask, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients on a regular basis and provide assistance when possible
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to attorneys as needed
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for attorneys and staff
  • Assist with legal administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, filing documents, and organizing electronic case files in a cloud-based case management system
  • Request, follow up, and organize medical records, bills, and other records and documents
  • Assist with document preparation, including drafting and proofreading legal documents
  • Keep accurate case notes
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant preferred
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Spanish language proficiency REQUIRED
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
