The Legal Assistant position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role focused on supporting legal tasks within the workers' compensation sector. Responsibilities

  • Accurately handle and process dictation related to legal matters
  • Manage and process medical terms related to personal injury and workers' compensation cases
  • Efficiently manage schedules, including setting up depositions
  • Utilize LexisNexis and other Management Systems for efficient case handling
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook for various administrative tasks
  • Handle billing functions as necessary in accordance with established guidelines
  • Manage calendars effectively, ensuring all important dates and deadlines are duly noted
  • Handle complaints and issues promptly and professionally
  • Create, update and maintain all necessary documentation related to cases
  • Draft contracts as required, ensuring all legal requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in LexisNexis for legal research and case management
  • Familiarity with a Management System to organize and track case files
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites for creating and editing documents
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management
  • Experience with Billing Functions to manage client invoices and payments
  • Skilled in Calendar Management to schedule meetings and deadlines
  • Experience in Complaint Handling to address and resolve client issues
  • Strong Documentation skills for maintaining accurate and thorough case files
  • Ability to Draft Contracts in accordance with legal regulations and client needs.
