About the position

The CooperCompanies is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Labor & Litigation legal team in Victor, New York. This role is essential in providing day-to-day support to our attorneys and legal professionals, ensuring that the legal team operates efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the legal department's operations. This includes the preparation, organization, and management of both electronic and non-electronic legal documents, which are vital for ongoing and upcoming legal matters. The role will also involve assisting with data entry for new matter intake, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately captured and maintained in our systems. In addition to document management, the position requires providing clerical support, which encompasses a range of administrative tasks. This includes handling phone communications, performing general administrative work, and coordinating travel reservations for team members. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing expense reports, scheduling meetings and events, and tracking and reporting on litigation matters. Effective communication with outside counsel, internal clients, and other stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, as it ensures that all parties are informed and aligned on legal matters. Given the dynamic nature of the legal field, responsibilities may vary widely from day to day, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities
