Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Handling administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, creating, compiling, and uploading files, reviewing and routing correspondence, obtaining signatures and directing finalized documents to the appropriate parties, and running reports and queries.
  • Matters relating to document retention; administering all aspects of legal invoicing, including receiving invoices.
  • Identifying relevant account coding and responsible attorney and forwarding for approval, uploading invoices to accounts payable system.
  • Approving, maintaining legal expense spreadsheet, retaining invoices, creating new vendors.
  • Corporate governance maintenance and record responsibilities, including assisting various entity secretaries, drafting minutes, resolutions, and reports.
  • Obtaining signatures for documents, filing records; managing company's relationship with its corporate service vendor to ensure proper business administration and compliance of company's entities.
  • Supporting litigation counsel with litigation matters, including drafting and administering legal holds, tracking and filing responses, and assisting with discovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or technical degree in a related discipline required.
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience required.
  • Experience in a transactional legal environment highly desired.
  • Must be (or must have the ability to become) a Pennsylvania Notary Public.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Workshare Compare, and Adobe Acrobat.
