This role is designed to support the firm's operations across its entire footprint, providing essential assistance to attorneys and legal teams. The ideal candidate will be someone who can deliver insightful support and produce high-quality work. The candidate should be a team player with an engaging personality, demonstrate initiative, and be capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities effectively. As a legal assistant, the individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at providing comprehensive support. This includes administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and printing documents, as well as formatting, proofreading, and editing materials to ensure extreme accuracy and clarity. The legal assistant will assist in entering information into databases, processing expense reports, and managing large client mailings. Additionally, the role involves typing dictation, maintaining electronic files, and saving legal documents received from State and Federal Court e-filings into the firm's document management system. The legal assistant will also assist in scheduling meetings and depositions, creating and sending electronic links to clients and vendors, and preparing correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and motions. The position requires both independent work and collaboration with team members on ongoing projects, following office workflow procedures to maximize efficiency, and performing general administrative and clerical duties as needed.
