About the position

The Orlando office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience. This position is integral to supporting our attorneys in various legal tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and will possess excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to follow up on tasks are essential for success in this role. As an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant, you will manage attorney calendars and scheduling, ensuring that all appointments and deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for capturing attorney time and drafting legal documents, including standardized letters, pleadings, and reports. The role requires a task-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Prior experience in Insurance Defense, particularly in General Liability and Personal Injury, is preferred. Familiarity with Florida Court procedures, e-Service, and e-Filing is also necessary to effectively support our legal team. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant

  • Prior experience in Insurance Defense General Liability and Personal Injury preferred
  • Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures
  • Familiarity with e-Service and e-Filing
