About the position

Rolfe & Lobello, P.A. is seeking a full-time, in-office specialized Legal Secretary/Assistant to support our legal team in Jacksonville, FL. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficiency of all office procedures and case management, thereby guaranteeing reliability and consistency in our operations. As a Legal Assistant/Secretary, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that are essential to the smooth functioning of our legal practice. In this position, you will schedule hearings across all 67 counties, maintain the hearings calendars for all attorneys, and produce and file various legal documents. Effective communication is crucial, as you will be interacting with witnesses, clients, colleagues, and attorneys regularly. You will also facilitate the meeting of deadlines by managing multiple agendas and providing timely reminders to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the dynamic nature of this role. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, with a solid understanding of legal procedures, protocols, and the court system. You should possess satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a legal office, be computer literate, and have proficiency in English. Excellent secretarial, time management, and organizational skills are essential due to the high volume of work. The ability to juggle multiple activities, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality is critical. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, can work quickly and efficiently, and is comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people. Requirements
