About the position

As a Legal Assistant at Robert Half, you will play a crucial role in supporting legal professionals by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. Your primary responsibilities will include transcribing legal documents with precision, scheduling depositions, and maintaining an organized case file system. You will assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Communication is key in this role, as you will be liaising with clients and other legal professionals to coordinate meetings and share important information. Additionally, you will conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and prepare reports and case summaries as needed. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, as you will be managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software is essential, and familiarity with Workers' Compensation procedures is a significant advantage. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. A Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred, and previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe legal documents and ensure their accuracy.

  • Maintain an organized and updated case file system.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents as required.
  • Ensure all legal documents are properly filed with the court.

  • Ensure all case-related information is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Worker's Compensation procedures and regulations, a major plus, but not necessary.
