About the position

Esquire Law is seeking a dedicated Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. Our firm is committed to providing exceptional legal assistance to individuals who have suffered injuries, and we pride ourselves on our unique blend of legal expertise and innovative technology. As a Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing a moderate to high-volume caseload, ensuring that all pre-suit communications are handled efficiently and effectively. You will be the central point of contact for clients, attorneys, medical providers, lien holders, and insurance companies, facilitating communication and coordination of medical treatment care as necessary. In this fast-paced environment, you will be expected to multi-task and prioritize your workload while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include gathering essential records, police reports, and other documentation related to personal injury cases, as well as maintaining client files and summarizing case files and medical records. You will also assist in all aspects of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, ensuring that each matter is handled with the utmost professionalism and care. We are looking for a candidate who embodies a sense of urgency, possesses strong judgment skills, and is adaptable to changing circumstances. Responsibilities

  • Handle a moderate to high-volume caseload of pre-litigation personal injury cases.
  • Assist with all pre-suit communications and act as the center of communication for clients, attorneys, medical providers, lien holders, and insurance companies.
  • Coordinate and manage medical treatment care for clients as necessary.
  • Gather records, police reports, and other documentation related to personal injury cases.
  • Communicate and correspond with clients, lien holders, providers, and others in the legal community.
  • Maintain and organize client files and case documentation.
  • Review, analyze, and summarize case files and medical records.
  • Escalate issues to the Paralegal and Attorney as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in legal administration (required).
  • 1 year of experience in personal injury law (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to switch tasks quickly and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and reporting skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Customer service attitude and ability to handle confidential client information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
