About the position

McDonald's Corporation is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join its Global Labor & Employment Legal Team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about labor and employment law and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team by managing personnel subpoenas for records requests, serving as the primary point of contact for intake, logging requests, and collecting necessary documentation. You will also be responsible for responding to these requests and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow. In addition to handling subpoenas, you will harness technology to drive efficiencies within the team, including managing billing and matter management processes. Your role will involve working cross-functionally to process invoices and payments, manage the delivery and receipt of both electronic and physical mail, and organize paper and electronic records. You will also be tasked with processing expense reports and independently handling other routine requests and inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Independently manage personnel subpoenas for records requests, including serving as the point of contact for intake, logging requests, and collecting requested documentation.
  • Respond to records requests and collaborate with other stakeholders as needed.
  • Harness technology to drive efficiencies within the team, such as billing and matter management.
  • Manage the flow of information with law firms and business clients.
  • Work cross-functionally to process invoices and payments.
  • Manage the timely delivery and receipt of electronic and physical mail.
  • Organize and handle paper and electronic records.
  • Process expense reports and handle other routine requests and inquiries.

Requirements

  • 1+ years prior administrative and/or project management experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office technologies, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in labor and employment law.
  • Ability to quickly adopt and use other document management and billing management technologies.
