About the position

AV rated law firm seeks a Legal Assistant for a busy worker's compensation practice. The successful candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, preferably in worker's compensation. This role requires a well-organized individual who can multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer skills are essential, with experience in Word, Excel, and Adobe being necessary. The candidate must possess the ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team. Extreme attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must be professional and dependable. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for calendaring all deadlines and must be familiar with Arizona and/or New Mexico worker's compensation and appellate court rules. Responsibilities include the preparation of correspondence and pleadings for attorney's signature, monitoring deadlines for timely submission of all required documents, organizing evidence for submission to the Industrial Commission, maintaining files, scheduling depositions, and communicating with judicial staff regarding the scheduling of hearings and conferences. Experience with E-Filing in the Arizona legal systems is also required. Salary is dependent on experience, and the position offers excellent benefits.

Responsibilities
