About the position

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Remote Conflicts Analyst to join a dynamic legal team in Indianapolis. This role is essential for ensuring that the law firm adheres to the highest ethical standards. As a fully remote position, the candidate must meet specific residency requirements. The primary responsibilities include conducting thorough conflict checks on new clients, matters, and lateral hires using electronic and online databases. The analyst will analyze potential conflicts and effectively communicate findings along with suggested resolutions. Additionally, the role involves managing new matter forms and maintaining accurate client and matter data, drafting engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review, and collaborating with attorneys and conflicts counsel to resolve any issues that arise. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal certificate, along with at least two years of recent experience in a US law firm conflicts department. This is not an entry-level role; candidates should have a working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules pertaining to conflicts. Proficiency with Intapp or equivalent conflicts software is strongly preferred. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently while delivering accurate work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is crucial. Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks, are essential for success in this position. The candidate should also demonstrate initiative and adaptability to changes in workflow, processes, and procedures, as well as the ability to think critically and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate combined with recent law firm experience.
  • 2+ years of recent US law firm conflicts department experience, this is not an entry-level role.
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules pertaining to conflicts.
  • Proficiency with Intapp (strongly preferred) or equivalent conflicts software.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects while providing an accurate work product in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt to workflow, processes, and procedures changes.
