About the position

Northeast Delta Dental in Concord, NH is looking to hire a hybrid, full-time, Legal Assistant to support the administration of the Department by, among other responsibilities: handling corporate filings such as annual reports, managing and responding to internal requests for legal documents and services, preparing monthly compliance reports, updating internal documents and procedures, supporting compliance training and initiatives, and cross training on insurance product filings. The Legal Assistant position earns a competitive salary, at $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities

  • Maintains, prepares, and submits annual reports, trade names, and corporate non-profit reports for all NEDD entities with Secretaries of State in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
  • Facilitates state registration and Statutory Representation renewal for Combined Services LLC (csONE) in multiple Corporation Service Company (CSC).
  • Facilitates Statutory Representation renewal for New England Dental Administrators (NEDA) in Massachusetts and Connecticut with CSC.
  • Supports advocacy efforts by coordinating lobbyist and lobbyist employer registrations, and creating and updating quarterly reports.
  • Updates and maintains lists of state & federal legislative contacts.
  • Tracks and facilitates corporate political contributions.
  • Plans and executes annual legislative receptions for Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
  • Completes meeting minutes as needed for Legal & Compliance Division.
  • Supports Board compliance through preparing documents such as biographical affidavits and conflict of interest summaries.
  • Completes data request packets.
  • Completes Bridge letters.
  • Supports compliance trainings and initiatives; ensures and records training attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certification preferred.
  • At least two years of related administrative experience in a law office or corporate legal department, or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.
