About the position

As the Labor & Employment Legal Content Analyst at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep and enhancement of content within the Labor & Employment practice area. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, owning, and executing the content upkeep process, ensuring that all Practical Guidance content is current and relevant. This will involve performing legal research and editorial tasks to update existing content, monitoring changes in the law, and drafting or revising various types of content such as templates, practice notes, and checklists. You will also oversee and execute content remediation projects aimed at improving the customer experience, ensuring that all content adheres to established editorial processes and style guidelines. In addition to content management, you will be responsible for improving operational effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes, creating documentation, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in the editorial workflow. Meeting or exceeding production and quality requirements will be a key aspect of your role, as will participating in training and performing additional tasks as assigned. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to maintain an organized workflow while ensuring accuracy through close attention to detail. Flexibility and adaptability to changing business demands are essential, as is the ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines. You will also need to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, technical aptitude, and a curious, growth-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, own, and execute the content upkeep process for the Labor & Employment practice area
  • Perform legal research and editorial tasks associated with updating existing Practical Guidance content
  • Monitor current awareness and stay abreast of changes in law
  • Draft or revise content, including templates, practice notes, and checklists
  • Oversee and execute Practical Guidance content remediation projects focused on improving the customer experience
  • Acquire a firm understanding of editorial processes / style guidelines and enforce best practices
  • Improve operational effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes, creating documentation, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in editorial workflow
  • Meet or exceed production and quality requirements
  • Participate in training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree and two+ years of practice experience in employment law
  • Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills
  • Adept at maintaining an organized workflow while ensuring accuracy through close attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook citation rules
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business demands
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess technical aptitude
