About the position

The Legal Entity Governance Senior Analyst role is a vital position within the NAM Markets CAO Office, focusing on the oversight and governance of various US Corporate and Broker-Dealer Chain Legal Entities, including Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc., Citigroup Financial Products Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., and Citigroup Energy Inc. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Entity Governance Officer and is integral to the Legal Entity Governance team. The primary purpose of this role is to support the CEOs, Boards of Directors, Executive Committees, and sub-Committees of the legal entities under management in fulfilling their legal and regulatory obligations. This includes achieving strategic objectives, operationalizing Risk Management Frameworks, and assessing new products and services proposed for booking to the legal entities. The analyst will be responsible for operationalizing programs developed to meet Citi Policy requirements, which encompass Risk Identification, Risk Appetite Assessment, New Activity, and Escalations. The role involves developing, monitoring, and tracking issues and corrective action plans, performing complex analyses, and producing reporting and meeting materials to support the entities under management and their business execution partners. The analyst will also engage proactively with various lines of defense and team members to ensure effective execution of responsibilities. In addition to these responsibilities, the analyst will develop communication and training materials aimed at raising awareness among Board members and Executive Committee members regarding the requirements and issues impacting the legal entities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to articulate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operationalize programs to achieve adherence to Citi Policy requirements.
  • Liaise with 1LOD / Business Execution partners to identify and assess remediation actions.
  • Perform detailed analysis associated with issues impacting the legal entities.
  • Design and produce reporting and presentation materials for Committees and Boards of Directors.
  • Manage initiatives, projects, and Corrective Action Plans related to legal entity governance.
  • Develop communication and training materials for Board and Executive Committee members.
  • Engage proactively with First, Second, and Third lines of defense.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, including P&L, accruals, and client allocations.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
