About the position

Williams Kastner, a prominent multi-practice law firm in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Legal Marketing Coordinator for its Seattle office. This full-time position is pivotal in managing the firm's digital marketing initiatives on a daily basis, aimed at enhancing the visibility of the firm, its practice areas, and individual attorneys. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of marketing tasks, including graphic design, external marketing communications, website content management, and the creation of presentations, brochures, press releases, advertisements, newsletters, and event sponsorships. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in legal marketing and an understanding of law firm structures. The position also offers the flexibility of remote work one day a week, depending on business needs, allowing for a balance between office and home-based work. The Legal Marketing Coordinator will work closely with attorneys and staff to create and maintain the firm's social media presence across platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter, and will assist in preparing pitch materials and marketing collateral. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have a passion for their work. This role is essential for maintaining the firm's brand and ensuring that all marketing materials adhere to established guidelines. The candidate will also be involved in drafting and distributing press releases and newsletters, maintaining mailing lists, and providing logistical support for marketing and community events. This position is characterized by recurring work situations with occasional variations in complexity, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to handle high workloads during peak times.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the firm's social media presence across all digital platforms - LinkedIn, Twitter, and the WK website.
  • Assist with preparing pitch materials, RFP responses, practice group and industry brochures, and capabilities statements for clients.
  • Create and design marketing materials for digital and print using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Adhere to established/approved firm brand and style guide in the production of all printed and digital materials.
  • Develop and prepare PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials for client meetings, seminars, workshops, and events.
  • Compile, update, and maintain practice group and industry mailing lists for marketing purposes.
  • Proficient use and management of the iContact database.
  • Create and distribute practice group e-mail alerts and newsletters in the email management system.
  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and distributing press releases and newsletters to media contacts.
  • Create, update, and maintain attorney bios on the website, practice group profiles, and brochures.
  • Assist Office and Events Coordinator with marketing materials and graphic support for firm events.
  • Assist with planning and logistical support for firm marketing and community charity or sponsorship events.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, journalism, public relations, communications, English, or related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with graphic design, layout, and production processes.
  • Strong writing, editing, and production/desktop publishing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a broad mix of attorneys, staff, and vendors.
  • Proven customer service attitude and skills are essential.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to plan and problem-solve while handling multiple projects under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, iContact, and social media platforms, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HTML is a plus.
