About the position

The Legal Operations Specialist will work closely with attorneys to support clients in achieving their legal goals, particularly in immigration law. This role involves managing case files, drafting legal documents, and conducting research, while ensuring effective communication in both Spanish and English. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and play a crucial role in the firm's operations by overseeing case management and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the filing process for immigration cases, ensuring timely submission of documentation to USCIS and other agencies.
• Monitor key deadlines for applications, petitions, and hearings, keeping team members informed.
• Collaborate with attorneys to prioritize caseloads, especially in time-sensitive cases.
• Design and implement new initiatives for managing client cases, including process improvements.
• Assist in rolling out new case management software and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate and lead training sessions for staff on immigration law processes and case management.
• Analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
• Generate reports on case progress and deadlines for the Managing Attorney.

Requirements

• Experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in an immigration law firm.
• Strong understanding of immigration processes, including adjustment of status and deportation defense.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal operations or project management preferred.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and project management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience with immigration law and case preparation requirements.
