About the position

The Legal Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting various legal, compliance, and intellectual property matters for Terumo Americas Holding, Inc. This position involves managing corporate governance, commercial operations, contracting, and litigation management, among other responsibilities. The assistant will also be tasked with data collection, report preparation, and project management to enhance departmental efficiency and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Support legal operations including corporate governance and managed businesses requirements.
  • Prepare required annual filings to do business and board minutes.
  • Support changes to members and officers through resolution preparation.
  • Assist with requests for entity information from outside sources, including auditors.
  • Maintain companion databases in operational areas.
  • Adopt new technologies to increase efficiencies and streamline departmental procedures.
  • Prepare quarterly reports, data analysis, and presentations for legal and compliance committees.
  • Support intellectual property and patent processes, including annuities database and billing.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing budget projections.
  • Draft correspondence for various legal matters, including bankruptcy and demand letters.
  • Provide operational support to department members, including report generation and accounts payable processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on business.
  • Minimum seven to ten years of experience in an in-house counsel, corporate, or law firm setting.
  • Experience with corporate governance and matter management systems.
  • Experience managing a wide range of legal and compliance matters.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in legal operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred.
