About the position

EvenUp is on a mission to support injury law firms across America in providing a consistent and high standard of representation, ensuring that every injury victim who seeks their legal assistance can expect a fair resolution. We've helped thousands of victims get fair compensation by empowering their representation with best-in-class insights, automation, and document creation. Legal Ops Associates help ensure that the demand letters (legal documents with accompanying exhibits that illustrate an injured party's economic and non-economic damages resulting from a personal injury incident) we deliver to our clients are accurate, effective, and high quality. Our Associates are on the front lines of our mission to ensure that personal injury victims receive the compensation they're entitled to. In this role, you will work with our proprietary software online portal to review medical documentation, write concise and detailed treatment summaries, organize damages, establish treatment timelines, and conduct legal research to draft compelling demand letters. You will work against a weekly quota and have the opportunity to be rewarded with a bonus for high-quality production above the quota. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys persuasive writing, working in a fast-paced environment, and getting into the details of their work as you work alongside an established team of high-performers.

Responsibilities

  • Review medical documentation and write concise and detailed treatment summaries.
  • Organize damages and establish treatment timelines.
  • Conduct legal research to draft compelling demand letters.
  • Work with proprietary software online portal to ensure accuracy and quality of demand letters.
  • Meet weekly quotas and strive for high-quality production to earn performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

  • Experience in the legal, insurance, or medical fields with an emphasis on writing (e.g., paralegals, case managers, claim adjustors, legal assistants, or technical writers).
  • Strong persuasive writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and collaborate with reviewers and various teams across the company.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with the ability to swiftly pick up new processes and software.
  • Knowledge of personal injury law, medical summaries, or copywriting/editing experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with medical summaries or legal drafting.
