About the position

The Legal Operations Coordinator at Tempus is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the legal department. This position involves managing legal workflows, collaborating with various departments, and optimizing legal operations through technology and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing legal practices within a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist Legal Operations Manager with administration of legal department workflows, including interfacing with in-house attorneys and business counterparts across Tempus
• Day-to-day administration of contract management system and workflow automation tools, including interaction with internal IT support and external-facing vendors
• Work in collaboration with internal departments to improve legal interactions and processes
• Manage, organize, and maintain documents and records in electronic filing systems
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual department metric reporting
• Initial intake of a variety of transactional agreements - NDA, buy-side agreements, commercial contracts
• Review, evaluate, and source potential software tools to improve efficiency and enhance legal service delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience in legal operations or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in contract management systems and workflow automation tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
