About the position

The Legal Operations Coordinator at Tempus plays a crucial role in optimizing legal processes and supporting the legal team in various transactional areas. This position is ideal for self-starters who are passionate about technology and improving legal operations, providing an opportunity to expand legal skills while contributing to the advancement of precision medicine in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist Legal Operations Manager with administration of legal department workflows, including interfacing with in-house attorneys and business counterparts across Tempus.
• Day-to-day administration of contract management system and workflow automation tools, including interaction with internal IT support and external-facing vendors.
• Work in collaboration with internal departments to improve legal interactions and processes.
• Manage, organize, and maintain documents and records in electronic filing systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual department metric reporting.
• Initial intake of a variety of transactional agreements - NDA, buy-side agreements, commercial contracts.
• Review, evaluate, and source potential software tools to improve efficiency and enhance legal service delivery.

Requirements

• Associate degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree required.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• 2 or more years of experience assisting transactional attorneys in a high volume practice preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and G-Suite applications.
• Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
• Experience with contract management systems and workflow automation tools.

• Experience in healthcare, data or IP related field is a plus.
