About the position

The Legal Operations Program Manager at Snap Inc. is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of litigation spend and ensuring operational excellence within the Legal team. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with various teams, including Litigation, Finance, and Insurance, to manage legal services effectively. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle administrative and strategic aspects of legal operations, particularly focusing on the Law Firm and Matter Management program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of litigation spend including budget, forecasting, accrual, bill review and payment, insurance submission and reimbursement, and reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Litigation, Finance, and Insurance and Risk teams.
  • Interface with law firm service providers.
  • Maintain Snap's Matter Management Software System, ensuring all object data sources are up to date and configured to meet Legal and Finance teams' requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure law firms and vendors adhere to Snap's requirements regarding onboarding, invoicing, timekeeper rates, budget forecasting, and FP&A approvals.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of LFMM data, tracking down missing or delayed data inputs.
  • Coordinate between Legal, Finance, and law firms to resolve LFMM issues and promote LFMM policy adoption.
  • Propose process and system improvements for LFMM issues and see them through to completion.
  • Advise on strategic ad hoc projects and initiatives to enhance the LFMM program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal operation experience, particularly in handling law firm e-billing.
  • Experience working within a legal billing program at a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Experience using e-billing and FP&A accounting software such as Brightflag, SimpleLegal, Legal Tracker, Oracle, or Ironclad.
  • Understanding of financial and managerial accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with litigation spend and insurance coverage reimbursement.
  • High-level communication skills to train and influence attorneys to complete required actions consistently.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
