About the position

The Legal Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting various legal, compliance, and intellectual property matters for Terumo Americas Holding, Inc. This role involves corporate governance, commercial operations, contracting, and litigation management, among other responsibilities. The specialist will also focus on data collection, report preparation, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support legal operations, including corporate governance and managed businesses requirements.
  • Adopt new technologies to increase efficiencies and develop projects for innovation.
  • Prepare quarterly reports, data analysis, and presentations for legal and compliance committees.
  • Support intellectual property and patent processes, including annuities database and billing.
  • Provide support in preparing and analyzing budget projections.
  • Draft correspondence for various legal matters, including bankruptcy and demand letters.
  • Provide operational support to department members, including report generation and accounts payable processing.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on business required.
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in a relevant in-house counsel, corporate, or law firm setting required.
  • Experience with corporate governance and matter management systems required.
  • Experience managing a wide range of legal and compliance matters is preferred.
  • Experience in legal operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe, Outlook, One Drive).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in legal operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred.
