We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary to join our team at Thomas F. Crawford, P.C. in Langhorne, PA. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to our legal staff and assist in various legal tasks. As a Legal Secretary, you will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs and pleadings, and will be involved in e-filing and other related tasks. A key part of this role involves taking dictation and transcribing documents accurately. You will also maintain and organize both physical and electronic files, manage projects and tasks efficiently to ensure that deadlines are met, and handle clerical tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments. Proofreading legal documents for accuracy and completeness is another important responsibility, as is assisting in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits and documents. Additionally, you will communicate with clients professionally and assist in resolving inquiries, ensuring a high level of service is maintained. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Responsibilities

  • Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Communicate with clients professionally and assist in resolving inquiries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and dictation software.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and gather relevant information efficiently.
  • Experience in a law office is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must type at least 75 WPM.
