About the position

We are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to our lawyers, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our office operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our legal team can focus on their core responsibilities while maintaining a well-organized and efficient workflow. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are integral to the legal process, including the preparation of legal documents, management of legal files, and communication with clients and other stakeholders. In this position, you will assist in preparing a range of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements. You will also be tasked with organizing and maintaining legal files, ensuring that all documents are easily accessible and up-to-date. Conducting legal research will be a part of your responsibilities, as well as coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for attorneys. Effective communication is key, as you will handle client interactions via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Additionally, you will manage attorney calendars and deadlines, perform data entry tasks accurately, and support the legal team in various administrative capacities.
