Kiernan Trebach LLP, a respected Civil Litigation Defense Law Firm, is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will support multiple lawyers' litigation matters across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine courts. As a Legal Secretary/Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the litigation process. Your duties will include processing outgoing certified mail documents and subpoenas, drafting and formatting letters and legal documents, scheduling depositions, managing travel arrangements, and handling time entry and calendar management. You will also be involved in e-filing motions and other pleadings, organizing discovery materials, preparing for trials, processing records, editing billing, managing expense reports, and performing other general office administration functions. This position requires a proactive work style, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience as a legal secretary or assistant.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong working knowledge of document preparation requirements and filing procedures for court submissions in local Circuit and District Courts - MA and CT.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
