The Legal Studies and Business Ethics Department at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor. This position is designed for candidates who are engaged in research and teaching in business-relevant areas of law and ethics. The department is particularly interested in applicants with expertise in technology and artificial intelligence, corporate law and governance, the law and ethics of markets including antitrust and consumer law, issues of inequality and discrimination, bioethics and health law, as well as energy, environment, and climate law. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department's mission of fostering a rigorous academic environment that emphasizes the importance of ethical considerations in business practices. The appointment is anticipated to commence on July 1, 2025. Candidates are encouraged to explore the department's current research expertise and faculty profiles through the department's website. Applicants must possess either a JD (or equivalent) or a PhD from an accredited institution, or both, with the expectation of PhD completion by June 30, 2026 being acceptable.
