Responsibilities
- Conduct audits in accordance with professional auditing standards.
- Examine and review records, reports, financial statements, and management practices.
- Evaluate the fairness of financial statement presentation and the adequacy of internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, contracts, and grant agreements.
- Perform quality data analyses to support audit opinions and findings.
- Produce neat, concise, logical, and well-supported working papers that comply with auditing standards.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including the General Assembly and local governing bodies.
- Demonstrate initiative and seek opportunities for innovation and increased efficiency.
- Participate actively in meetings and collaborate with coworkers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of 24 semester hours in accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively.
- Good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly encouraged for further advancement.
