About the position

The Lending Quality Assurance Specialist at Connexus Credit Union is responsible for conducting assessments and testing to ensure compliance with lending laws and regulations. This remote position emphasizes collaboration with lending departments to enhance processes and maintain ethical standards in lending practices. The role involves drafting reports, communicating findings, and developing actionable recommendations to address any identified gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and complete lending assessments and testing to monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Maintain independence and objectivity during assessments.
  • Draft summary reports of lending assessments.
  • Communicate results of assessments, conclusions, and recommendations to lending leaders or stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with lending departments to develop actionable recommendations to address gaps in lending processes and procedures.
  • Perform follow-up with lending departments on committed activities and timelines.
  • Adhere to assessment schedule and ensure completion within the allowed timeframe.
  • Uphold cross lending department synergies while exercising professional skepticism.
  • Conduct special projects or reviews at the request of management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or commensurate experience is required.
  • 3+ years of lending experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Consumer, Home Equity, Real Estate, Indirect, and Operations processes is preferred.
  • Experience performing quality assurance reviews and delivering results to stakeholders is preferred.
